Time For A Change
I just turned 30 and after 12 years as a manager in corporate fashion retail I decided to go it alone for the first time in my life. After running high profile shops in the Westend of London, it was a god awful senior manager in my last role who finally pushed me over the edge. My husband had been saying for years that I should start my own business so I finally listened to him and did it.
2018 so far has been a big year.
Inle Home is my brand new online homeware shop. I love shopping for beautiful homeware at reasonable prices so I made that my main aim. There are a variety of gorgeous products available, please check them out at http://www.inlehome.co.uk
My husband and I went travelling in 2016. We visited a stunning place in Myanmar called Inle Lake. It was a truly beautiful and inspirational place that stuck with me, hence the name of my business.
Soon after taking the plunge, leaving my job and beginning to create Inle Home, we got the fantastic news that we were expecting our first baby. We were overjoyed, but there was an underlying fear.
Being so used to having a full time wage to now going self-employed and expecting is quite a daunting prospect. However, there is certainly an upside to all this; I get to rest when I feel really tired and still do what I love day in, day out. I am in control of my business, and my days.
First things first
I am now 16 weeks along in pregnancy and it’s been 3 weeks since I launched my website. I look forward to keeping you all up to date on these new and exciting times in my life.
